At the age of 35 I made a list of things I had yet to do in life and horse riding was one of them. At the local stables I asked if I was too old to learn to ride. 24 hours later I was riding and fell in love with all things horse! After a friend told me I did not know anything about horses, I decided to do just the one British Horse Society (BHS) Exam to prove her wrong. Before I knew it I had completed within 2 years:- -

Equine Specific First Aid Certificate However, something was drawing me to find out more about "other ways" and I attended a wonderful weekend course with Dena Schwartz offering an introduction to a number of different therapies for horses - www.animalaromatherapy.co.uk. A life changing weekend! I immediately enrolled on the Animal Aromatics Diploma course with Caroline Ingraham www.ingraham.co.uk and learned the Ingraham Method of Self Selection for animals and gained my diploma in Animal Aromatics in 2004. The diploma has developed in to the wider area of Zoopharmacognosy and I continued learning about other animal therapies including:- -

Reiki Healing I continue to gain knowledge and understanding of different methods of care and therapies to share with animal owners for the benefit of all animals. I now also help people to become more successful in their businesses helping them with finance, operations and marketing issues and trainig them in customer service & sales & profit development. I use coaching and some Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) techniques in my work and these have also recently helped students to pass equine related degree standard examinations. There are many similarities in the animal therapies and the adviser role - both include a deep desire to help people/animals to reach their full potential!
